Frequently asked questions
Who should use oxygen resuscitation equipment?
Oxygen equipment is intended for people trained in its use, such as first aiders who have completed advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy training. Check your organisation's first aid procedures before adding oxygen to a kit.
What is in the Ezivent 1000 and Ezivent 2000 kits?
Both kits bundle a regulator, an adult bag valve mask resuscitator, masks, suction and an airway set. The Ezivent 1000 has a single-outlet regulator and a manual suction pump, while the Ezivent 2000 Elite has a dual-outlet regulator, oxygen powered suction, nebuliser masks, tubing, a Yankauer sucker and shears.
Do the Ezivent kits include an oxygen cylinder?
No, the Ezivent kits do not include an oxygen cylinder or oxygen bag. Medical oxygen cylinders are sourced separately, and our Medsource bags and backpacks are designed to carry a C size cylinder.
What sizes do the bag valve mask resuscitators come in?
Our disposable bag valve mask resuscitators come in adult, child and infant sizes. Each comes with a size-matched mask, from the No. 5 adult mask to the No. 0 infant mask.
What is the difference between a non-rebreather mask and a standard oxygen mask?
A non-rebreather mask has a reservoir bag and a one-way valve, while a standard oxygen mask does not. The listing describes the reservoir and valve as making oxygen delivery more efficient, so choose the mask your training and procedures specify.
Which oxygen regulator should I choose?
Choose the regulator that suits your cylinder and your kit. We list a pin index regulator flowmeter and the Spiracle BRAVO2 multi flow regulator with two high-pressure outlets; check the inlet suits your cylinder valve before you order.
