Frequently asked questions
Can an XFT trainer deliver a shock?
No, XFT trainers have no high-voltage capability and cannot deliver a shock. They are for AED training only, not for clinical use, and should be stored apart from any real AED on site.
What is the difference between the XFT Mini, XFT-120N and XFT 120C+?
They step up in features. The Mini is a compact trainer with voice and LED prompts, the 120N adds adult/child, metronome, compression rate and CPR mode settings, and the 120C+ offers more preset scenarios, comes with a remote control and can prompt on pad placement when used with a manikin.
Which pads fit my XFT trainer?
Check the compatibility list on each pad listing before you order. The adult pads and the dual adult/child pads suit the XFT 120C+, 120C, 120N and Mini, and the child pads suit the 120C+, 120C and Mini, along with several other trainer brands.
Do XFT trainers need batteries or mains power?
It depends on the model. The XFT Mini runs on AAA batteries, and the 120C+ runs on AA batteries or a 240V power supply, which is sold separately.
Can XFT trainers be updated when CPR guidelines change?
Yes, on the larger models. The XFT 120C+ uses a replaceable plug-in card for languages and scenarios, and the XFT-120N supports USB software and language updates when guidelines are revised.
